Recipient of the President’s National Award for Teachers, 2000. Presented papers at several International forums including the United Nations.  

Former Head Senior School, Springdales, Dhaula Kuan New Delhi. Set up and established Senior Section, The Srijan School as the Principal. Closely associated with the NCERT as a Member, Review Committee for Social Science curriculum and textbook writing. Working on programmes of peace and conflict resolution at the school level.  

Former Deputy Commissioner, Academics, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Introduced several innovative programmes in the J.N.V. Initiated and helped in international linkages for the rural schools.
