Excellence in Schools – An EQFI Study on Quality

The EQFI recently conducted a research study on Quality in Schools. The survey was rolled out in January 2008 and covered 6 cities of India i.e. New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkatta, Chandigarh, Pune and Hyderabad. The schools covered were both Private Management schools and Government schools (which included State Boards, KVS and NVS). The objective of the survey was to assess how schools perform against quality parameters developed by EQFI, to identify the strengths in the government and private school systems across these parameters and to identify and share existing best practices in schools.

The Heads of Schools exhibited a very positive approach towards our endeavour and extended their cooperation to our research team. Some excellent practices in schools have also emerged through this survey.
