The CCE system of assessment has changed evaluation patterns in school. EQFI in
collaboration with CBSE has undertaken to conduct CCE+ training workshops for teachers
all across India. These two day training workshops have been designed for teachers
to be able to implement CCE assessment in their schools with the necessary expertise.

The CCE workshop in Jaipur, was held on 6th & 7th August,
2010 for a group of 40 teachers of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya.
The workshop addressed different facets of classroom teaching like classroom transactions,
different types of assessment, (particularly formative assessment), questioning
based on Bloom's Taxonomy, the teaching and assessment of life skills, attitudes
and values. A special focus was laid on documenting and recording of CCE in primary
classes, classroom management procedures and reaching out to parents as one of the
key stakeholders in the assessment procedures.

The interactive workshop conducted by Ms Meera Balachandran and Ms Chandeep Marwah
encouraged and motivated teachers through activities like the 'Ice breaker'
a session on 'Let's think it Over' and 'Jig Saw reading'. These
activities helped teachers get an idea of the required assessment patterns and also
a grasp of the NCF( National Curriculum Framework ) document, the Teacher's
Manual and the different levels of Bloom's Taxonomy. The activities for the primary
classes guided the teachers to understand and participate in divergent thinking
and learn the art of creative teaching.
