EQFI has designed a one day interactive training workshop, with the objective of
equipping teachers with the necessary skills and expertise to implement Formative
Assessment in its true spirit. The training sessions focus on treating the Formative
tasks as tools for improving the teaching learning process and making the process
of learning enjoyable for all students.
The workshop modules address different facets of Formative assessment. It provides
feedback that moves learners forward, activate students as learners of their own
learning and helps in using evidence of learning to adapt instruction.
The participant teachers are given a hands on experience through various activities
like Silent Conversation, Dressing up the doll, Building up a feedback wall and
Designing techniques and tools for assessment in their subject groups.
Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation was introduced by CBSE in 2009 so that it would
come into effect for class X appearing in 2010. Training workshops have been held
all over the country yet it is evident from input received from a large number of
teachers that there is need for further clarity on CCE. Keeping this in mind, EQFI
the training consultants for Learning Links Foundation decided to break up the training
to address different areas of assessment. The one day workshop designed for Formative
Assessment conducted by our resource persons, Ms Meera Balachandran & Ms Chandeep
Marwah has been well received and we have already conducted it at the following
